We want families to understand both the regular cost of care and the government programs that may reduce what you pay each month.
Helping families plan.
Government child care programs may significantly reduce a family's monthly out-of-pocket cost.
For
Families
This is our regular full-time monthly tuition before applicable provincial fee reductions or family benefits are applied.
Your actual monthly cost may be lower.
Central Kids Daycare's regular full-time tuition is $1,195 per month before government child care funding and benefits.
Depending on provincial program approval and your family's eligibility, the amount you personally pay each month may be considerably lower.
What your parent portion could look like.
For planning purposes, we are illustrating a parent tuition amount of $650 per month after full CCFRI approval.
This amount is before any additional Affordable Child Care Benefit that your family may qualify for.
What do I need to pay at registration?
When your child's space is confirmed, the initial payment includes the first month's parent tuition, a last-month deposit, the applicable registration fee and the annual supply/activity fee.
The example shown here is for one child using the illustrative $650 monthly parent fee after full CCFRI approval.
Additional fees to know about.
We want families to know these costs before registering so there are no surprises.
First Child Registration
A one-time registration fee is charged when the first child in a family registers with Central Kids.
Non-RefundableEach Additional Child
Each additional child from the same family has a reduced one-time registration fee of $50.
Non-RefundableAnnual Supply & Activity Fee
A $50 fee is charged for each enrolled child every September, or when the child first registers if joining at another time of year.
Non-RefundableWhat does the $50 annual fee help cover?
The annual supply and activity fee helps Central Kids cover additional child-related costs that arise throughout the year.
Central Kids does not prepare or cook meals on site. Families are responsible for sending their child's lunch each day. Replacement lunches are intended for occasional forgotten lunches only.
The $50 fee is charged every September, or upon initial registration if a child begins later in the year, and is non-refundable.
Government programs may reduce your cost.
There are two important provincial programs families should know about.
Child Care Fee Reduction Initiative
CCFRI provides funding to participating licensed child care providers so eligible parent fees can be reduced.
Families do not apply directly for this reduction themselves.
Affordable Child Care Benefit
ACCB is a separate benefit families can apply for directly through the Province of British Columbia.
Eligible families may receive additional assistance toward the amount they pay.
Child Care Fee Reduction Initiative
Central Kids is applying to participate in the Child Care Fee Reduction Initiative, commonly called CCFRI.
This provincial program provides funding directly to participating licensed providers so eligible parent fees can be reduced.
Parents do not submit their own application for CCFRI.
What families should know
You may qualify for additional help.
Eligible families can apply directly to the Province of British Columbia for the Affordable Child Care Benefit.
Affordable Child Care Benefit
The Affordable Child Care Benefit, or ACCB, helps eligible B.C. families with the cost of child care.

Monthly child care fees are due on the first day of each month.
Government Reductions
Approved government fee reductions and benefits are applied according to provincial requirements.
Late Monthly Payment
Monthly payments received after the 5th are considered late and are subject to a $25 late payment fee.
Government funding is determined by the province.
Child care funding programs, eligibility rules, benefit amounts and approval timelines are established by the Province of British Columbia and may change.
The $650 monthly parent fee and $1,450 initial payment shown above are illustrations based on full CCFRI approval. Final parent fees will depend on provincial approval and any additional benefits for which the family qualifies.
